Artist's Comments
Here is an attempt at impressionism. I was inspired by people like Monet and Van Gogh. I wanted to show the beautiful side of rain. Most people think about rain as being gray and drowsy, but I wanted to show the colorful, fun bright side of it. I've always loved the way the city lights danced in the water, and I tried to capture that.
Also, the colors are off because I had to take a photograph. The purples int he sky looks washed out, but they are much brighter in real life. Any comments are greatly appreciated! Acrylic on canvas with a gel medium. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
